It was a gorgeous September day for a wedding at the Taronga Centre! Dreamlife Photos and Videos (Sydney) was ready to jump into action to shoot Lydia and James’ wedding photography! The lovely couple made the day so much fun as they shared their joy with their many loved ones.

We couldn’t wait to get a jump on the day so we met up with James and his groomsmen for a couple of photos before the ceremony. The guys were eager to hop in front of the camera and we got some great shots of everyone showing off their matching shoes and having a laugh.

Once we’d wrapped up with the guys, we stopped by to check in on Lydia who was already working on her hair and makeup. We quietly snapped away as she finished off her look and were wowed when she revealed the final touches. As the day began to progress we enjoyed watching Lydia show off her dress as she and her mom cooed over the style! Of course, our favorite moment was Lydia and James enjoying their first look as they kissed and hugged for the camera.

Soon we found ourselves at the ceremony where the venue had created an intimate environment for all of those attending. The room was covered in windows which brought in enough natural lighting to make the wedding photography stand out all the more. There wasn’t a moment we didn’t find incredible during the ceremony, but we did fall head over heels for the bridal photo of Lydia as she wiped a tear from her eye while listening to James speak his vows.

With the couple’s marriage official we swept them both off their feet for more photos before ending the night at the reception. The venue offered many beautiful areas to choose from, so we made sure to get a wide variety of photos. We especially loved the photos of the couple as they posed in front of the boathouse. The photos of the lovebirds in the venue’s garden were also breathtaking and fun! Before we ended the session we made sure to get one of the entire wedding party as they jokingly posed with the beautiful cityscape and sunset in the background.

After having such a good time with the newlyweds, we had to call it a day and set up at the reception. The venue had really outdone themselves here as everything was perfect. From the table settings to the lighting, we were definitely impressed. The great setting allowed us to take amazing candid photos of all of the speeches. We especially loved the parent’s speech as they both boasted YOLO hats and accepted their laughs with charm. Dreamlife made sure to capture some jaw dropping photos of the couple’s first dance before ending the night with a quick picture of the couple leaving with their guests holding up sparklers to light their way!
